small is BIG

Yesterday i was travelling back home and i saw a school boy at the bus stop who was very hesitant to get in to the bus .. He wanted to get in , then he realised he didnt have any money for the bus fare .. Having observed all this i told him to relax and get in to the bus and told him i would buy his ticket .. the fare was a mere Rs.2 .. but when i gave him his ticket , the smile that i could see on his face was of million bucks .. On getting down from the bus he thanked me for buying his ticket ..

It made me realise quite often things that may seem so small can actually provide us BIG happiness ..

Today we might be adults but still we can learn a lot from children around us ..

In today's stressful life all one requires is a helping hand or a smile or a hug from someone ..

We all can make a difference in someone's life with such small acts of kindness ..

God always provides us with such oppurtunities of helping someone and to bring about a smile on someone's face .. We just need to realise it and grab that oppurtunity ..

Honestly i feel we aint helping anyone, in turn we are helping ourselves .. such deeds actually help us in being HAPPY ..

True happiness lies in such small things and not in material things ..

Hence we must always remember that small is actually BIG ..

Disturbing week

It has really been a disturbing week with racial attacks happening on our Indian students in Australia.. Reports claim that its just being written about now , compared to close to 500 such attacks happening in a span of one year .. I strongly condemn such attacks and hope the authorities in Australia take up adequate steps immediately to prevent such attacks in the Future.. Our students studying out there need to feel safe & secure .. Their safety is a priority today .. Or else the country might just lose out on students to countries like canada and others.. At the same time such incidents make us think as to the way we should treat visitors in our own country too.. We should have the same concern for them regards their wellbeing and safety during their stay in the country whether its for work or pleasure..

Extremely saddened by the Air france crash that happened .. Authorities currently searching for the debris of the plane and hoping if they can find any survivours to the crash .. Media debating whether the crash can be termed as a natural calamity or a terror attack might have taken place resulting in a crash..

The Pakistan hight court releasing JUD chief Mohd Hafeez is very disturbing .. It shows that even after providing so many evidences of his involvement to the 26/11 attack he has been let scot free.. How can the Pakistan Govt expect India to have a dialogue with them on any issue when their actions speaks otherwise.. Pakistan itself is in a sorry state with all these bombings happening there .. Very little is being done to ensure safety of the citizens over there..
Youngsters being brainwashed by militants to take up arms in their hands in the name of "Jehad".. Poverty, illiteracy, corruption prime causes due to which militancy has gone up there.. Looks like having good relations betn India & Pakistan might just remain a dream ..
kashmir issue might never get resolved.. I hope peace prevails in the valley .. and across the world..

LOVE STORY

I was watching a beautiful movie yesterday " A Walk to remember ".. Its about 2 high schools friends who meet and later fall in love.. In the high school album, tagged to her photo the girl had posted - Awaiting a miracle in my life.. The girl whose father is a priest tells her that she is not allowed to date anyone and no nightouts .. The boy manages to convince her father and takes her out for a date.. Eventually the girl falls for in love with the boy.. Few months later she tells the boy she is sick and has leukemia and tells the boy to move on.. He is hurt as to why she didnt tell him this earlier, but as he truly loved her , he stays by her side while she is in the hospital, and asks her to marry him and in the coming years she passes away.. Few yrs later he is sitting with the girl's dad now his father in law and says that he is unhappy that she never got the miracle she awaited.. To this he replies , son you were the miracle.. God wanted you to come in to her life as a miracle and to give her some beautiful moments of True love and togetherness for her to cherish all her life ..

I realised how true it is in our respective lives too.. We come across some real special people in our lives with whom we share a special bond and they bring in lots of warmth, love , joy, smiles & happiness in to our lives and make our life similar to a miracle.. I feel friends are the miracle that God plans for us and wants us to be happy with .. I hope you liked the story and whenever you find time possibly chk out this beautiful movie..

Spread the love thats within you amongst friends and family, who knows someone really might need it..

Women - God's best creation..

Women the very reason for our existence in this amazing world.. They make our life simply beautiful by nurturing us with their love and compassion and by playing varied roles in our life that of a mother, daughter, sister, wife & a friend.. They are more of a Giver in life, reason why God blessed them with a beautiful gift of that to conceive and bring in a new life to this world..
Men would have become insane if they didnt have any women influence in their life.. If men are any sober in life, its because of some women influence.. Many a times they make us go weak in our knees.. Women are infact God's most beautiful creation, whom we should love, care and have respect for.. In todays time, Women are equal to Men in all respects and they command a lot of respect in society.. Flowers and diamonds wouldnt have been bought ever if it wasnt for a women.. If they are special its because of a women..

A Million thanks to Women in general for making a huge difference in our lives by their sheer presence..

Slumdog Millionaire - My views on Arindam chaudhuri's criticism on the movie..

Sir, I dont agree with you .. Yes as a country we have definitely progressed, but just because Mr.Danny boyle has shown the truth about our slums though his movie, its hurting us .. Every one of us are living in hope today looking at the economic crisis being faced by all of us.. The movie depicts a story that of an underdog from the slums who goes on to become a millionaire through the game show.. A movie actually made on the very premise of LOVE.. The main reason for the boy to go on to the game show is he knows the girl he loves the most watches it, and desperately hoping she sees him on it and for them to meet up in life again.. Thats the reason the title, " SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE ".. And some people are foolishly debating and asking explainations to the director as to why such a title.. We all love stories of an underdog who makes it big in this greedy world.. and we actually have a notion that success eludes the poor and is only for the mighty & the rich section of our society .. Didnt we celebrate when Aamir khan (Bhuvan) along with village mates wins a cricket match in Lagaan against the mighty british .. In the movie they were the actual underdogs and no one gave them a chance that they would win , but they did win, isnt.. so lets be happy for the cast and crew of the movie, and let them enjoy all the accolades coming their way.. The movie has won the Golden Globe awards.. now the Oscars are coming up.. Irrespective whether the movie wins it or not let us all be happy that it has got itself a nomination .. And even though the movie is made by a westerner, its INDIAN by heart.. I would have seen what would have been your say Mr.Chaudhari to it if the movie was to be made by an Indian director.. Tell me do our so called politicians ever vist the slums or have they done anything in providing any improvement in the living conditions of people living in slums.. Big NO.. They just go up there and ask for votes and beg to the World bank millions of dollars promising development & better infrastructure.. but there is no accountability of that money from their end.. To top it all we have greedy people like Mr.Raju Satyam boss , even though he had his own millions , he tried to show fabricated accounts and did away with the salaries of 10000 non existent employees.. These people are backed by our powerful politicians and he would just get away in a couple of months , because they know our judiciary system , wherein a case takes as long as 10 yrs before it is up for hearing.. The person who suffers the most is the Comman man.. Mr.Danny boyle has cleary indicated that a certain percent of the films earnings would be given away for slum development.. Out railways also earned revenue because of the movie being shot on VT station.. Will they put that money for the slum development is a big question.. It easy to cristise , but i would say Mr.Chaudhari, with due respects to you IIPM is a big brand name today .. and i would love to see you being associated with the slums and pass on a helping hand to them for their development .. Meanwhile lets all say " Jai ho" to the cast and crew of the movie.. and JAIHIND.. HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY..

Hi.. Arindam..Hope you must be keeping track of latest happenings..Well i am not quite sure if this would please you one bit, but the fact is " Slumdog Millionare" has won 8 Oscars for itself and made the country proud.. Hope next time round a similar film comes from planman pictures.. In life its important to have faith in someone's talent.. That's the reason Director Danny boyle came to India to shoot this wonderful film.. He surely faced lots of challenges but it has surely paid off..And he has dedicated his award to the city of Mumbai for its warmth & spirit.. Next time pls dont be so critical, yes we do live in a democracy.. and everyone has aright of opinion.. But u cant possibly fool a billion people who have loved the movie.. Goodluck to you in life.. Once again "Jai Ho" to the entire cast & crew of the movie..
